Advertising Campaign

 

The brief requires me to research two existing appropriate advertising campaigns that are relevant to my chosen area. I must then compare and contrast each one using the correct subject terminology in order to describe the graphic content/ Layout e.g typography, composition, space, photography, colour etc… Finally i will analyse how this content comes together to communicate the character and identity of the brand.

The brands that i have chosen are:

  • Dominoes
  • Pizza Hut

Between these two brands i shall compare them and also give my own opinion on each of them.

What are you going to produce?

My product is going to be a new Pizza Hut Direct Delivery Service for Mini Pizzas and quick bites to be sold to those who need a quick snack or are hungry but don’t have enough time on their hands. I plan to market this service to people aged 16 or above as this is a mobile app that requires payment although cash is accepted.

Which sectors and why?

The main sector that i have chosen to do for the advertising campaign is the moving image process which is essentially a t.v advert. The other sector that i have chosen is a poster which is supposed to catch the eye of a passing citizen.

This is the finished design of my poster, for this work i have used an existing image from another pizza hut image however i have stretched it out in order to gain the clear shot of the pizza itself. I then found the perfect logo which i believe is the current version of Pizza Huts logo and used the magic wand tool to remove the background white from it, the bottom corner would be the best place to put it as it doesn’t take away the interest from the rest of the poster but at the same time reminds people as to who this campaign is from. I then used the shape tool to create several rectangles to the side of the image as they add visual effect to the poster and as they are also colours which link to Pizza Hut itself. The other rectangle which i placed helps to underline the text which explains what this campaign is for which is Mini pizzas and/or snack bites and for quick deliver which is explained by the delivery like no other slogan which was made using Dafont. After making said slogan i again used the magic wand tool too rid the white background and then i used the paint bucket tool to fill the letters in with appropriate colours. I feel like this poster would definitely be something eye catching due to the bold and bright colours as well as the large image of the pizza itself, in all i think that this would appeal to adults mostly but from college students and upward.
